The President You Should Vote in the 2016 Philippine Election

Are you ready for the 16th President of the Republic of the Philippines?

May 2016 is a few months away. As it draws nearer, more and more people will be frustrated by our politicians trying to become celebrities and celebrities trying to become politicians.

UP Cebu will help you in selecting the next president. Educating everyone about the platforms and past performances of our politicians is key to a better Philippines. While it is next to impossible that the population will elect only those people who are sincere to serve and not because these politicians have invested sums of money into the pockets of the voters, let us not lose hope that one day this country will rise from poverty and illiteracy through education.

In UP Cebu, the annual celebration of UP Cookout takes place this November 2015. It’s theme for this year: CHANGE OF THRONES. The story behind it? 2016 Philippine Election.

On one of its social media activities, UP Cebu community was asked on the characteristics of the Philippine President they want in 2016. UP Cookout noted:

"We, members of the UP Cebu community, have the power and the choice to change the way our country is run and to fix or change a broken system, by choosing the right leaders that will soon sit on the Iron Throne of service.

As the Change of Thrones comes closer, one youth, one voice, one vote, will foretell the future of our nation. Play your part in the Change of Thrones."

Here are their thought-provoking responses:

  2. The next president of his country should have dignity and should know about the Law of Karma.

He must not be God-fearing for God is not to be feared. But rather, he should take regards to the consequences should he find himself in a situation where he or she decides between two evils.

A president who is compassionate and full of love for his people is the best president that this country should have. And when I mean full of love, it should be pure, not tainted. When I say compassion, it should be sincere.
