Top Travel Destinations in Cebu, Philippines According to Bloggers

Among the various islands in the Philippines, Cebu is one place that you should consider visiting in your lifetime. For someone who have lived in this province for my whole life, I can assure you that there is more to explore.

I have not personally been to all the top travel destinations in Cebu. My goal is to explore the wonders of Cebu. I plan to wander around this island sometime in the near future. If that happens, I might consider writing a travel blog, too.

For now, I have here a list of travel destinations that you should visit in Cebu, Philippines according to bloggers. While reading these blog posts, I cannot help but create a blog about it and share it to you.

1. Temple of Leah by Emjae Fotos

The construction is still ongoing as of this writing, but it’s already open to the public. It’s dubbed as the ‘Taj Mahal of Cebu’ since this majestic wonder is also a gift of a husband to his loving wife. Teodorico Adarna devoted this temple to the late Leah Villa Albino-Adarna as a sign of his undying love.

2. Sumilon Island by Adrenaline Romance

Located in Southern Oslob, this privately-owned island is a place you may want to go if you needed to be away from the city life. The only transportation you need to roam around the island is your feet. It’s a small island packed with adventures you will definitely enjoy!

3. Moalboal by Lakwatsero

If you plan to visit Moalboal, make sure to explore the different adventures you can do. Go diving, snorkeling, spelunking, and even island hopping!

4. Road Trip to Daan Bantayan by Two-Way Travels

One of the cool adventures that you can do is visit Daan Bantayan. It’s a home of wonderful beaches and endless adventures! I have found an interesting article about going on a road trip to Daan Bantayan. Isn’t that great?

5. Malapascua by Pinay Solo Backpacker

One of the most famous beaches in Cebu, Malapascua is a must-visit tourist attraction that you should consider in your list. Check out these interesting adventures you can do and what to prepare in going there.

6. Osmena Peak by Blissful Snapshots

I have been to Osmeña Peak in Dalaguete earlier this year, but we were unlucky not to take great photos while on top. From 7 AM to 9 AM, it’s usually foggy up at the peak so consider going there on an afternoon and spend the night at the base camp. Or hope for luck!

7. Go Canyoneering at Badian by Fueled by Caffeine

Kawasan Falls in Badian has another adventure that you should consider while in Cebu. Canyoneering is a must-try for people who are adrenaline junkie! It’s fun, exciting and fulfilling!

8. Roam Around Cebu City by Roch Kirstin

If you have a limited time in Cebu, why not go around the city, instead? Cebu City has interesting historical spots that you should visit. Consider going to Magellan’s Cross, Taoist Temple and other historical attractions!

Are you a blogger? Do you have a blog post exploring cool places in Cebu? Let me know and I might consider adding it to this list.

#UPCebuAfterSunset compiles ghost stories from UP Cebu

Ghost hunting, horror stories, paranormal activities… you can visit UP Cebu to experience these out-of-this-world events. Yes, University of the Philippines Cebu is one of the spooky places in Cebu where there are spiritual sightings. I have compiled several ghost sightings in the campus as determined by some of the students I’ve talked to and conversations heard and read here and there, some of which are edited version of confessions from “ Speak UP, Iskolar ” published late last year. Believe it or not, according to them, these stories are true and they can attest to the veracity of these experiences. I have categorized these stories according to the places these ghost stories happened. If you have additional stories you experienced, feel free to share those to us by sending it here . ADMIN CR (1) “Kuyog ko sa akong friend adto then nisulod siya sa Admin CR.  Manudlay usa daw siya before mi manulod sa among klase. Nahibu’ng ko kay nikalit na siyag siyagit.

The Curious Case of Sirao Flower Farm in Cebu

I first heard of Sirao Flower Farm in Sirao Peak, Cebu City when I was riding a taxi. Little did I know that Sirao Flower Farm (aka Mini Amsterdam in Cebu) is a trending topic in social media.  For sure, everyone who have heard about the beautiful celosia flowers in Sirao Peak will surely search on how to go there and take a selfie. For only P20.00, you will be able to take a picture that you can post in your Instagram and share it on Facebook. For P100.00, you can take a video and upload it online. Add popular hashtag like #SiraoFlowerFarm, #SiraoPeak, #MiniAmsterdam, and #MiniAmsterdaminCebu to increase visibility and engagement. NOT JUST SELFIES On the other hand, here’s the sad reality: the celosias aren’t treated properly. People are not just simply taking pictures but ruining the beautiful celosias in Sirao Flower Farm. With hundreds of Cebuanos flocking to Sirao every day, I cannot help but feel sad about the status of the celosias and how they are treated by
